In the RDS Tupe region, various indigenous families reside. Several of these families have previously received solar panel installations from generous donors and the government, for which they are immensely thankful. However, the challenging environment often leads to these devices or their batteries malfunctioning, sometimes in less than six months. The primary issue lies with power storage: basic batteries are linked in series without balancing, leading to potential overloading or significant discharge, depending on the state of the batteries in the series. Additionally, the all-in-one solar controller/inverters have had issues; it’s not uncommon for a module (e.g., solar controller, inverter) within these devices to fail.
Our association addresses these concerns, such as unbalanced battery banks, malfunctioning solar devices, and reconnecting spare parts. Through our efforts, we can often restore these solar installations and educate the locals on maintaining their equipment effectively.
We rely on your generous donations to support the inhabitants of RDS Tupe (Amazonas). Thank you.
